Psalm 96:1-6

 1 Sing to the LORD a new song;
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
3 Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
4 For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.
6 Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Psalm 13 ~ NASB

How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and answer me, O LORD my God;
Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,
4 And my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
And my adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken.

5 But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
6 I will sing to the LORD,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Microwave free for almost 2 months

We moved about 2 months ago. The house that we were in before had a built in microwave. We are now living in an apartment that doesn’t have a microwave. We have not purchased one as I don’t want it to take up my precious counter space!

I thought that it would be easy. Boy was i wrong. I never realized how much I depended on the microwave. It has changed how I order my cooking for dinner. Often times I forget about the veggies ’till the last minute and realize I don’t have a way to quickly nuke them for dinner. SO we end up with fruit with dinner instead. Which isn’t bad, but we need our veggies as well.

I bought a box of microwavable  popcorn {insert hand to forehead slap here} the first week we moved here. I got the bag out and got it ready to pop….but wait…DOH! I don’t have a microwave!

What am i going to do?

I need my popcorn!

Wait, I thought to myself, can I pop bagged pop corn over the stove?

Can you believe that I actually had to GOOGLE how to make pop corn without a microwave? haha. YES, you can make popcorn over the stove.

You can also heat veggies on the stove as well…I knew this before, but rarely did.

Today I was convinced to never use a microwave again. I stumbled across Jill’s Home Remedies: Why I Don’t Use a Microwave article. WOW. I didn’t realize how much microwaving your food changes nutritious food to CARCINOGENIC food!

Which book?

I’m having a hard time picking which book to read.

Do I want to learn about Becoming A Woman of Influence?

I would love to learn about the Women of the Bible.

Maybe, instead of focusing on how to bring myself up, I could read about Shepherding a Child’s heart.

Before I read these books, I need to read the one that really matters.

The one that God wrote for us.

The one that teaches us everything that those other books teach.

The Word.

My Bible.
